I have read several books by Mainak Dhar and this is very different from his other stories. It was a wonderful story of the love of a woman for her family. When her family is violently taken from her, so seeks revenge against people and a system that will do nothing to seek justice. This story addresses real problems and I do admit that the main character does seem a little like a super hero at times, but you do root for her because you do feel her pain.Product details

I enjoy this author's work very much
Well written with an understanding of the social environment and culture. It gets your attention and holds it ( most of the time).
I enjoyed the strength and intelligence of the main character. She was a positive image for women. Well worth the time.
This was the last book by this author I had currently on my reader to read - and wow! Quite an action-packed adventure - and not a single zombie!
I follow this author and read pretty much everything he writes. This book is about a woman who tracks down the people responsible for raping and murdering her sister. This isn't quite Dean Koontz or James Patterson, but, it is a great read.
You're feeling the emotions of Durga from the get go as she learns of her sister's death. Then you're thrown into the action with her as she seeks justice for her sister and to clear her family name. How will her story end...?
Note I recommend reading Mainak's letter to the Prime Minister at the end. It's very enlightening and I think adds to the reading experience.
